Cedar City has welcomed travelers from around the world who come to see the Mighty Five National Parks and Monuments. It started a century ago with Union Pacific Railroad bringing tourists to Cedar City and touring cars taking them around to the nearby National Parks. Today visitors cruise in via Interstate 15, fly in on a Delta Connection or private jets into CDC Airport.
Hosting visitors and a unique culture of volunteerism and community involvement is in our DNA.
With Tony Award-winning theater, International professional sports, Olympic-style sporting events and some of the world's top high tech innovators have found Cedar City to have what it takes to provide outstanding venues and amenities for performers and spectators.
We are home to the Utah Shakespeare Festival (Tony Award-winning), Utah Summer Games (Olympic-style amateur sports), Tour of Utah (top pro cycling stage race), Fire Road Cedar City (Mountain Biking 100k, 60k), Cedar City Half Marathon (#RunTheCanyon), Groovefest American Music Festival, July Jamboree (car show), Livestock Heritage Festival, and dozens of other events.
