The Fireman's Relief Association, was established in 1918 in Cedar City as a way to provide resources in the event of a fire or other disaster. Since that time, it has evolved to include services for community.

The Cedar City Fire Department consists of 12 full-time personnel and 40 volunteer firefighters. As dedication to their community, each firefighter donates hundreds of hours annually in training and activities to make Cedar City a safer place.
