Ron Adams is in his first term on the Cedar City Council (through 2013). He previously served for six years on the Cedar City Board of Adjustments and a Past President of the Iron County Board of Realtors. Currently serving as a Member of the Education Committee for the Iron County Home Builders Association. Board member of the Cedar City Rotary Club. A member of the Cedar City Planning Commission, Cedar Transportation Committee and Economic Development Board. Serving as Chairman of the RDA and Municipal Building Authority. Ron worked 14 years for AMPAC as a Chemical Lab Technician, holds a Real Estate Broker’s license and currently works as the Development Director for SWATC. Nina R. Barnes
has long been a vital contributor to her community. She has been a member of the Cedar City Council since 2005, and of the Southern Utah University Board of Trustees since 2009. Previous to her service as a Trustee, she was a member of the University’s Master Plan Steering Committee, and also served on the boards of the Anne and Dixie Leavitt Foundation and the Southern Utah Foundation. Over the years, she has been passionate about parks, recreation, health and wellness, she has served on the Cedar City Rotary Veterans Park Steering Committee, the Cedar City Parks and Recreation Committee, and the Cedar City Trails Committee, and was also the Park Discovery general coordinator and founding president of the American Children's Christmas Festival. She was a founding member of the Cedar City Children's Justice Center Friends Board, a recipient of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year award, and was twice named LDS Social Services "Volunteer of the Year" for work with teen pregnancy. Additionally, she has been a successful businesswoman. In 1989, she founded and still operates her family’s real estate holdings, including the purchasing, managing and development of a wide range of real estate investments. Nina earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Brigham Young University, and is currently halfway through completion of the Master of Public Administration degree at SUU. John Black is in his first term as a Cedar City Council Member (through 2015). He was born and raised in Cedar City and graduated from Southern Utah University. John has had a wide variety of professional experience over the years including: Budget & Finance Manager, Park Construction Analyst, and Parks Maintenance Manager for the City of Las Vegas. After he retired, he returned here to his hometown, where he worked as the Cedar City Parks Director for over a year. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve on the City Council, and he looks forward to working for the citizens of Cedar City and with the Mayor, Council and City Staff. Email: John Black

Paul Cozzens is also in his first term (through 2015). He grew up in Moab, Utah and worked with his father, a civil engineer and excavator, which developed his strong work ethic. He attended Southern Utah University and has lived in Cedar City since 1980. He owns a cabinet manufacturing business and his community activities include: President of the Happy Factory; District Chairman for the Boy Scouts of America; and he also has served on the Cedar City Planning Commission. Don Marchant, whose first term also ends in 2015, was born and raised in Cedar City and graduated from Southern Utah University. He has worked in his family business for over 40 years and also has been an adjunct instructor at SUU, teaching communication and business classes. His community activities have included serving on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; the SUU Board of Trustees; and the Iron County Tourism Board. He is past-President of the SUU Alumni Association, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Utah State Fairpark.
