Ron Adams is in his first term on the Cedar City Council (through 2013). He previously served for six years on the Cedar City Board of Adjustments. He is the Past President of the Iron County Board of Realtors. He is serving as the Education Committee Member for the Builders Industry Association of Iron County. Ron worked 14 years for AMPAC as a Chemical Lab Technician and currently works as a Real Estate Broker. He has enjoyed living in Cedar City for the past 52 years. Email:

Nina Barnes is in her second term as a Cedar City Council member (through 2013). She has been actively involved in the community including service as a victim advocate for the Women & Children’s Crisis Center, as the Park Discovery general coordinator, as a member and director of the Cedar City Rotary Club, as a founding member of the Cedar City Children’s Justice Center Friends Board, and as the founding president of the American Children’s Christmas Festival. Dale Brinkerhoff is in his fourth term on the City Council. Previous to this term (through 2011), he

Georgia Beth Thompson was elected to the City Council in November 2007 to begin her second stint as a member (through 2011). She is a member of the Cedar City Economic Development Board after previously serving from 2000-04. She retired in 2008 as vice president of student services at Southern Utah University following 21 years at the school. Email: Georgia Beth Thompson


Steve Wood is in his third term as a Cedar City Council member (through 2011). He has served on the Planning Commission, the Water Commission, as the Redevelopment Agency chair, the CrimeReduction Task Force and has volunteered on a variety of service organizations over the years. He currently is the chair of the Port 15 Taxing Entity Committee. He holds degrees in psychology, accounting and a Master's of Business Administration.
