NOTICE OF ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that Cedar City will hold 2021 municipal election to elect four year terms for the following: Mayor and two (2) Council Members.

Given a sufficient number of candidates, a primary election will be held August 10,2021, with the municipal general election being held on November 2,2021 .

Qualifications to be a candidate are:

  1.  Be a United States citizen at time of filing;
  2.  Be at least 18 years of age;
  3.  Be a registered voter of the municipality; and
  4.  Be a resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months before November.

The filing period is during regular office hours (Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) June I through June 7,2021. All candidates for election are subject to campaign financial statement disclosure regulations. A qualified candidate may file a Declaration of Candidacy with the City Recorder, l0 North Main Street, Cedar City.

Primary Election Day:      August 10,2021       7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

General Election Day:     November 2,2021    7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. 


Voter Registration Deadlines:

Primary Election: July 30, 2021 (By Mail, Online, In-Person)

General Election: October 22, 2021 (Registration by provisional ballot on election day)
