2022 General Election Information for Iron County  

Iron County is conducting a mail election. Follow the steps below to vote:

  1. If you are an active registered voter, your ballot will be mailed to you beginning October 18th, 2022. Didn’t receive your ballot? Immediately contact the Iron County Clerk at (435) 477-8340 or clerk.group@ironcounty.net.
  2. Follow the instructions provided with the ballot.
  3. Make sure your ballot is counted by either:
    • Postmarking your ballot on or before November 7, 2022 (the day before the election).
    • Dropping your ballot off at your county clerk's office, a polling location, or a drop box by 8:00 pm on Election Day. Below is a list of drop box locations for Iron County.

Important Dates:

  • October 13th: Logic and Accuracy test to be held at 68 S 100 E, Parowan, UT at 2:00 p.m.
  • October 18th: Ballots mailed to all eligible voters
  • October 28th: Last day to register to vote by mail, in person, or electronic by 5:00 p.m.
  • November 1st - 4th: Early voting; see early voting locations, dates and times below
  • November 1st: Last day to request an absentee ballot
  • November 7th: Mailed ballots must be postmarked by this day to be counted
  • November 8th: Unofficial election results will be posted after 9:00 p.m. on Iron County website
  • November 14th: Audit of post-election held at 68 S 100 E, Parowan at 2:00 p.m.
  • November 21st: Canvass of the General Election; 10:00 a.m. during a Special County Commission meeting

  • NOTICE: To vote in a Political Party's Primary Election, voters must be affiliated with their preferred party by MARCH 31, 2022.
    Party Affiliation changes will not be allowed between April 1, 2022 and June 29, 2022. Utah Code 20A-2-107(2)(f).

Postage is required to return your ballot. Complete the voter affidavit with a signature of voter and printed name of voter on the back of the provided envelope before you seal the ballot inside. The ballot will not be counted if the affidavit is not signed.

The return envelope must be clearly postmarked by Monday, November 7, 2022.

Return your signed and sealed envelope to the County Clerk or to a designated ballot drop box location listed below. The ballot will not be counted if the affidavit is not signed.

You may drop off your completed by mail ballot to a vote center on beginning October 18, 2022 until 8:00 p.m. Cedar City Hall has a ballot box available now through November 8th, located at the front counter. Complete the voter affidavit with a signature of voter and printed name of voter on the back of the provided envelope before you seal the ballot inside. The ballot will not be counted if the affidavit is not signed.
