Cedar City Slow Roll
May 7th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm
Spring has officially arrived in Cedar City, with the annual Slow Roll happening on May 7th from 6:00-7:30 pm. Cedar City will join numerous communities around the United States that use community bike rides as an inclusive way to get out and exercise while reconnecting with neighbors. The Cedar City Slow Roll is FREE and open to everyone. This year will be bigger than ever, with the Mayor officially kicking off the event at 6:00 pm on the corner of 300 West and Center Street. There will be plenty to do this year at the Slow Roll. Grab a bite to eat at one of the food trucks, check out the local band Foxy Grandpa, or try out the popup bike lane.
We hope to see you there!

All Walkers & Wheels Welcome
All human-powered wheels and walkers are welcome. This includes bicycles, tricycles, skateboards, big wheels, skateboards, wheelchairs, unicycles, scooters, rollerblades, e-bikes, etc. -- you get the point! The only rule is to KEEP IT SLOW (and wear a helmet, of course!).
Slow Roll Course
Cedar City Slow Roll will temporarily close down a city block (roughly a mile around) for up to 90 minutes.
Helmets Available
Don't have a helmet? We will have a few spares on hand (while supplies last) thanks to the Southwest Utah Public Health Department.
Pop-Up Bike Lane
Ever wondered what it might be like to have a bike lane around campus? Well, wonder no more because the Cedar City Active Transportation Committee and Southwest West Health Department are staging a temporary bike lane on 800 West. Be sure to check it out!
National Bike Month
The Slow Roll initiates May as National Bike Month. To promote biking in and around Cedar City, the Mayor and the city's Active Transportation Committee, and Southwest Utah Public Health Department will provide information about bike month's upcoming activities, including details on National Bike to Work Week and National Bike to School Week.
Bike Decorating Contest
Do you have a creative streak? If so, there will be a bike decorating contest for those who want to go the 'extra mile' and have some fun with their bike. Prizes will be awarded during the event by secret judges, along with the chance to have a picture of your bike on social media. WE ENCOURAGE Creativity.
Cedar City Bike Works
Need some tips on bicycle safety and repair? Cedar City Bike Works has you covered and will be at the Slow Roll. As a nonprofit empowering our community through cycling and active transportation and recreation their goal is to connect neighbors through bicycle education and repair. Not to mention, they will also hold their first-ever Bike/Tool Drive. If you have an old bike that needs a new home, be sure to bring it with you to the roll. Bike tools and old frames are also accepted. To learn more about this great nonprofit, go to Cedar City Bike Works.
T-Bird Bike Rental
If you need a bike, there will be some available to rent from T-Bird Bikes. Limited availability.
Iron Giants Bike Valet
Want to grab something to eat but don't know where to leave your bike? The Iron Giants Mountain Biking Team is providing a free bike valet at the Slow Roll. As a youth mountain bike team, they represent our area in the Utah High School Cycling League, a NICA affiliate league. They welcome all Iron County kids in the 7th-11th grades to join the Giant Family! Be sure to check them out on Facebook Iron Giants Mountain Biking Team.
