[ARCHIVED] Chamber of Commerce annual Awards Banquet--vote for your favorites!

The Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce announces its 60th Night of Excellence to be held at the Hunter Conference Center on January 13th, 2011 at 7:00 PM. The evening will start with a banquet followed by an awards presentation and the installation of the 2011 Chamber Board.

The Chamber requests your help in nominating outstanding individuals and businesses in our community that deserve to be recognized because of their outstanding service. We want to select those in our community who have gone the extra mile to make a difference in the lives of others in Cedar City. All of us are fortunate to work with and know people we respect and admire for a variety of reasons. And once again, it’s time to ask yourself who distinguishes themselves through their contributions and who continually meets challenges, exceeds expectations and inspires others to do the same. There is no better time than now to show appreciation to these individuals and businesses. Recognition of this kind is the highest form of respect and honor. Here is your chance to nominate that special person or business who you feel should be given the opportunity to be recognized. The dead line for submitting names is Dec. 1, 2010.

Eleven categories of recognition have been identified. The attached application can be faxed to 435-586-4310, mailed or dropped off to the Chamber office at 77 N. Main Street. The Chamber feels that community participation in the nomination process is the best way to identify those who should be given this opportunity.

The event could not take place without our award sponsors which include, Kolob Regional, State Bank of Southern Utah, Wells Fargo Bank, Mike Haight and Mark Nelson of Allstate Insurance, Southern Utah Mortuary, Jennifer Davis of ERA Realtors, Zion’s Bank, Rocky Mountain Power, Suzette Cardon and Sherrie Hansen of State Farm Insurance and Cedar City/Brian Head Tourism and Visitor Center.

Tickets to the event are $30.00 per person and can be purchased through the Chamber Office. Last year’s theme will be repeated which was based on the Academy Awards. A state of the art video presentation highlighting the accomplishments of each winner will be presented along with an award.

There are a lot of good things that happen in our community and this is a great way for you to help the Chamber recognize the amazing things that people and business do that make Cedar City a wonderful place to live.
