Plan Ahead for the DDI Opening
Crews will close Cross Hollow Road, under I-15, and the I-15 on- and off-ramps at 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 23. The closure will be in place until 6 a.m. on Monday, August 25. Crews will complete the transition to the DDI during the closure time. We anticipate delays during the closure so we encourage everyone to plan ahead and use 600 South as an alternate.
Ongoing Restrictions:
Traffic restrictions will continue after the opening of the DDI to allow crews to complete work on the islands, barriers and sidewalks.
Northbound and Southbound I-15:
I-15 will have intermittent one-lane closures as needed, Monday through Friday, throughout the summer.
Cross Hollow Road:
Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the end of September. Current restrictions are in place to prepare for the DDI opening. Once the DDI opens, the lane restrictions will provide space for crews to construct islands and the barrier, complete wall work, and finalize items that must take place after traffic is in the DDI configuration.
Pedestrians should use the designated route and should not enter Cross Hollow traffic lanes at any time.
Intersection of Cross Hollow Road/Highway 91 and Main Street:
Drivers should pay close attention to new lane configurations, locations of stop bars, pavement markings, signs and traffic signals. Use caution and be patient when navigating the intersection. This layout allows crews to keep the intersection open and functioning during construction.
