In 2017, Mayor Garth Green started the Banana Split Book Club to help his grandchildren who were struggling with reading. As Cedar City's Mayor, he is excited to expand this program to the community with the help of his family and the Cedar City Public Library! Meet for books, movies and banana splits every Thursday this summer at the Cedar City Public Library. Read a book, watch a movie, and receive a banana split! This is open to all ages and is a free program. Sign-up every Thursday starting May 26th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
